Dragon Ball Z : Resurrection F ドラゴンボールＺ 復活の「Ｆ」2015- Japan

Dragon Ball Z : Resurrection F (ドラゴンボールＺ　復活の「Ｆ」) is the 19th feature length film from the Dragon Ball Z universe. The film, released in 2015 at # 1 in the Japanese box office, even had a limited release in North American theatres thanks to Funimation. This was also the first Japanese film to ever be screened in IMAX 3D and 4DX theatres! As the second film released to set up viewers for the new series, Dragon Ball Super, in my opinion this film was much better than Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods.

 In summary, Dragon Ball Z : Resurrection F begins with the remnants of Freiza's army trying to figure out how to bring Freiza back from the dead. With the help of the Dragonballs, they are successful. However, since Freiza was first killed off by Trunks, Goku has since faced tougher opponents like Majin Boo and has surpassed to Super Saiyan level 4. Upon learning of this, Freiza decides he will train for the first time in his life. 

If you have seen the prequel film, you know that Goku is able to now reach Super Saiyan God form (you know with the reddish/pink hair). Well, after training with Lord Beerus, Goku now has the capability of reaching Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form (cool blue hair!). Though the fight may seem like an easy match, it becomes harder for the saiyan when Freiza transforms into Golden Freiza! 

I don't want to ruin this awesomly, epic battle scene, so I won't put any spoilers. Let's just say, stuff gets crazy, Goku gets hurt, Vegeta steps up and turns Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan too, and people die. Oh yea, and Whis, Lord Beerus' assistant, has the power to turn back time. 

It really makes me happy that after so many years, the DBZ franchise is still going strong. The animation for this film was amazing and unlike other animes that get reboots, I feel the animation style has consistently stayed the same, but updated with the times. As I mentioned before, I felt this film was much better than Battle of the Gods and that is purely because I felt there was a much better, and more thought out storyline here. Battle of the Gods seemed more of like a film made just to set fans up for this film and the tv series. 

Yes, I am such a fan of DBZ, I made my own Vegeta armor and sometimes like to cosplay :D
